Memoir by Prince Andrew's and Epstein's Accuser Reignites a Scandal that Long Dogged UK Royals
Virginia Giuffre's memoir details multiple encounters with Prince Andrew and accuses Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking, with the book reaching No. 1 on Amazon.
- On Tuesday, Virginia Giuffre's memoir Nobody's Girl is published posthumously six months after her death and recounts her first meeting with Prince Andrew, arranged by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
- Giuffre says she was recruited as a teenager by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell and forced into sex with the royal three times, including once on Epstein's private island with eight other girls.
- On the day of the meeting, Ghislaine Maxwell told Virginia Giuffre it would be `just like Cinderella` and instructed her to `do for him what you do for Jeffrey`; Giuffre says Jeffrey Epstein gave her $15,000 soon after.
- Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, stepped down from public duties in 2019 and last week said he will stop using his titles while denying Giuffre's claims; he reached a 2022 out-of-court settlement acknowledging her suffering and agreed to donate to Giuffre's charity.
- Last week, reporting renewed scrutiny, the memoir leapt onto Amazon's bestseller list on Monday, while London's Metropolitan Police said on Sunday they are probing the Mail on Sunday report involving a Feb. 28, 2011 note.
