Tri-Motor Hyper-Hatch Lands as Peugeot's Fastest Car Ever
Peugeot says the 816-hp concept previews the next E-208 and uses steer-by-wire, side-cell cooling and a 10% to 80% charge in under 15 minutes.
- At the 2026 Paris Motor Show, Peugeot unveiled the RCZ Vision and E-T16 concepts, previewing the brand's 'Feline Future' design language on Stellantis's 1000-volt STLA One architecture.
- The E-T16 pays homage to the 205 T16, which won World Rally Championship titles in 1985 and 1986, while the RCZ Vision revives the nameplate of the original 2009–2015 sports coupe.
- Boasting 816 horsepower, the E-T16 accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 2.5 seconds, featuring a 1000-volt system that enables 10-80% charging in 10 minutes using advanced side-cooling technology.
- Peugeot CEO Alain Favey stated the company is 'tempted to pull the trigger' on limited E-T16 production, while the Hypersquare steering control will debut in the production e-208 next year.
- Future local availability remains uncertain after Peugeot announced in July 2026 that distributor Inchcape would cease importing the brand, with parent company Stellantis yet to confirm new distribution plans.
