In the midst of drug shortages, the federal government announced investments of four pharmaceutical companies for 10,400 mdp.
President Claudia Sheinbaum confirmed that the decree to encourage investment in the pharmaceutical industry, published on June 2 in the Official Journal of the Federation, eliminates the requirement to have a production plant in Mexico. This condition required that pharmaceutical companies count or install a production plant in the country in order to participate in public tenders for medicines and medical supplies.
