The State is not required to bring 42 Afghan security guards who were guarding the Dutch embassy in Kabul to the Netherlands, the Hague Court of Appeal has ruled. A judge previously ruled that this was necessary, but the Court of Appeal ruled otherwise on appeal. According to the court, it has not been established that the Netherlands has a duty of care for them.
