Romania's GDP grew modestly by only 0.8% in 2024. Statistics revise down economic growth for last year

Data published on Thursday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS) revised down Romania's GDP growth for 2024, from 0.9% to just 0.8%. Gross Domestic Product for the whole of last year was 1,760 billion lei, 6 billion less than the previous estimate. This evolution indicates modest economic growth compared to 2023 and signals a significant slowdown in the pace of economic development.
