As reported by the Walla news portal, citing a senior general staff officer, Israeli engineering battalions have launched a large-scale operation to destroy Hezbollah's military infrastructure using heavy equipment and explosives. This strategy has already been seen by the world during recent operations in Gaza, where, according to UN estimates, over 80 percent of buildings were destroyed.
A senior officer in the General Staff says that the engineering battalions have begun implementing the model that includes the systematic destruction of buildings that served as Hezbollah's military infrastructure - in some cases using bulldozers and in others using explosives. According to the officer, Hezbollah has been pushed from southern Lebanon towards Beirut and the north of the country.
