The Government Will Also Provide Millions to Compensate Those Illegally Sterilized

Petr Fiala's (ODS) cabinet has agreed to allocate another 200 million crowns to compensate women who were illegally sterilized. Senators are now discussing an amendment to the Public Health Insurance Act, which extends the deadline for submitting applications for compensation until 2027. The original deadline expired last year.

The Ministry of Health is counting on another two hundred million crowns for compensation for illegal sterilizations. The government approved the allocation of funds on Wednesday. So far, over 210 million has been paid out, and the office has confirmed the claim for nine hundred submitted applications.
