- On Friday at the Old Bailey in London, Muhammad Billal, 18, from Nelson, Lancashire, pleaded guilty to planning a terrorist gun attack.
- Between last April and August, the teen accessed Rumiyah for propaganda use, and obtained an Ethiopian visa to reach Somalia.
- He researched `accessible shooting ranges` and bought chest rigs, and conducted online reconnaissance with an attempted illicit firearm purchase.
- The court remanded Billal into custody until his October 17 hearing at the Old Bailey, with a status date set for August 4, 2025.
