The new central bank leadership is not touching interest rates for now, foreigners have flooded Budapest, while in May there were dramatically fewer Hungarian births again - this was last week on the macro front, but the days ahead are not empty either: the statistical office will publish industrial and foreign trade data next week, but there will also be EU inflation and US labor market data.
The Statistical Office will publish data on inflation in June today. Annual inflation eased to 1.8 percent in May, and is expected to rise slightly again by the end of the year. Statisticians will also publish public finance data for the first quarter of this year.
