‘Star Search’ Premiere: A New Crop of Talent Hits the Stage (Live Updates)

On January 20, Netflix launches real-time live voting with the Star Search premiere, airing Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
After testing with Dinner Time Live with David Chang, the company developed the tool to boost interactivity and plans to expand Netflix's live programming slate soon.
When a live show reaches a voting moment, viewers tap stars or pick from a menu and submit via TV remote or the Netflix mobile app; each Netflix profile can cast one final vote per performance during a limited on-screen window.
Votes will be tallied in real time by Netflix to decide who advances and who is eliminated, with episode results announced later and vote weighting varying by show.
With Star Search now supporting real-time voting, Netflix is expanding interactive live experiences beyond Everybody's Live with John Mulaney and Dinner Time Live with David Chang, building on sports and stand-up shows already on the platform.
