Up until May 28, St. Paul had zero shooting homicide for all of 2025 – the three others were stabbings. So far this year has seen a 51% decrease in nonfatal shootings, and the clearance rate for solving nonfatal shootings has surged since the creation of a new unit dedicated to investigating them.
