Fairview RCMP: 2 arrests for 'choking' assault and theft

During this investigation, another person was arrested on outstanding warrants out of Peace River. Richard John Strong was charged with assault while choking, theft under $5000, and fail to attend court.

Man arrested for assault following domestic disturbance in St. John’s

Police were called to the east end of St. John’s at 9:30 p.m. Saturday night to reports of a domestic disturbance. There a 37-year-old male was arrested for assault, overcoming resistance by choking and threats. The male was held to appear before a judge.
