Sheetz prepares to open first Asheville-area store

FLETCHER, N.C. (WSPA) - A convenience store chain is planning to open its first Asheville-area location in August. Sheetz will open a new location at 5440 Asheville Highway in Fletcher, located near exit 44 along Interstate 26 in mid-August. The Pennsylvania-based chain has more than 730 stores throughout the Mid-Atlantic. The company will host a hiring event for the store on July 16.
