Matt Damon Hosts as Brett Kavanaugh in 'SNL' Finale Lead-up Alongside Aziz Ansari as Kash Patel
The sketch mocked the Supreme Court’s voting-rights ruling and redistricting fallout as Damon’s Kavanaugh and other Trump officials traded drinking jokes.
Matt Damon hosted Saturday Night Live on May 9, reprising his role as Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh in the cold open alongside Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and FBI Director Kash Patel.
Set at Washington's Martin's Tavern, the sketch satirized the public figures' documented drinking habits; Damon's Kavanaugh declared he "figured I was going to find you here" while Patel brought his own branded bourbon.
During his monologue, Damon promoted his upcoming film The Odyssey, joking audiences would see it in nine weeks, while explaining the traditional Mother's Day segment was canceled due to Spirit Airlines shutting down.
Episode highlights included a spoof trailer titled Mom Movie Trailer and a sketch featuring Damon as an auctioneer in a marital dispute with cast member Sarah Sherman, while musical guest Noah Kahan performed "The Great Divide" and "Doors."
Next Saturday, May 16, Saturday Night Live concludes its season with former cast member Will Ferrell hosting alongside musical guest Paul McCartney before entering summer hiatus.
