NINGBO, China (AP) — Elena Rybakina rallied from a first-set deficit to beat Ekaterina Alexandrova 3-6, 6-0, 6-2 in the Ningbo Open final on Sunday to claim her 10th WTA title.
The Kazakh won the final against Ekaterina Alexandrova. She made a big step in the Masters race.
The WTA 500 category tennis tournament held in Ningbo, China was won by Elena Rybakina (WTA 9th), who defeated world number 10 Ekaterina Aleksandrova 3:6, 6:0, 6:2 in the final.
Rybakina wins Ningbo title to close in on WTA Finals
A 10th career title for Rybakina means the Kazakh only has to reach the semifinals of the Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo this week to seal the last qualifying spot for the season finale at the expense of Russian teenager Mirra Andreeva.
