Ruud Vormer becomes youth coach of U17 at FC Knokke: “This is the best solution for me now”

Retired for almost a year, Ruud Vormer, 37 years old this Sunday, will take up his first challenge on the bench. Neither in Bruges nor in Zulte Waregem, however.

Ruud Vormer will be the coach at FC Knokke next season. Not the head coach, because that will be Bert Dhondt, but Vormer will be in charge of the U17 of the first national team from July. In this way, the former captain of Club Brugge and ex-Golden Shoe is carefully taking his first steps in the coaching world. On Wednesday afternoon, Vormer signed an agreement with the youth department of the best Flemish amateur club.
