Russia fires barrage at Ukrainian cities as next round of US-brokered talks is unclear
Russia launched 24 ballistic missiles and 219 drones, damaging critical energy infrastructure and leaving tens of thousands without power, heating, and water, officials said.
Kyiv, Ukraine's capital, and the southeastern city of Dnipro came under a 'massive' attack from Russian missiles early on Thursday, with various buildings hit.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said there had been hits on both residential and non-residential buildings on both sides of the Dnipro River bisecting the city, with fragments falling near two residential buildings but no casualties reported.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy called for any peace agreement ending the war to include a concrete date for the nation's EU accession, warning that if the agreement did not include a specific date, Russia would work to block the process.
