The Romanian presidential candidate George Simion advocates further close cooperation between Europe and the US, despite the recent action of US President Donald Trump. The head of the right-wing nationalist party AUR, who is also one of the Vice-Presidents of the European Conservatives and Reformers (EKR), also rejects the idea of a European army independent of NATO in talks with the APA.
