Romania could be among the first to choose the new infantry fighting vehicle based on the Hungarian model, with local production. In addition to the production capacity in cooperation with local industry, the Germans will also provide training, maintenance and servicing.
The comprehensive production network mentioned by the German company in its official press release will be based on its own companies and new partnerships with Romanian companies, along with a new center of excellence for training and continuing education. It is intended to strengthen Rheinmetall's presence in the country and emphasize its role as a supplier of equipment and services to the local armed forces.
