Jackson-Madison DAR Chapter honors a Revolutionary War hero
JACKSON, Tenn.—One local organization celebrates an American Revolutionary War Hero. The Jackson-Madison Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution hosted a special event in honor of Marquis de Lafayette today in Anderson Park. The celebration kicked off at 10 Saturday morning. Revolutionary War Soldiers Honored
Memorial Day, this year, also marks the 250th anniversary of the beginning days of the Revolutionary War. To commemorate that, historians gathered at a small cemetery in the Town of Plattsburgh where several soldiers from the North Country, who fought in the Revolutionary War, are buried.
