The arrival of a new asylum seekers' center (AZC) in Amersfoort seems inevitable. The municipality wants to create 550 permanent shelter spaces, despite previous fierce resistance in neighborhoods like Vathorst and Schothorst. Residents have until January to contribute their views on conditions and locations, but the direction is set: there will be shelter.
