Four years after the referendum in favor of nationalizing large housing corporations, the "Expropriate Deutsche Wohnen and Co." initiative is introducing a new law intended to provide a solution to the rental crisis.
In 2021, the majority of Berliners voted for the expropriation of large housing companies. Because the Senate never implemented the project, the initiative "Expropriate German Housing & Co" is now putting pressure on them: a draft law now presented could enter into force immediately after a new vote.
The Berlin Senate has abducted the will of the citizens, the implementation of the referendum on the expropriation of large residential groups. »Expropriate German Housing & Co.« has now written a »Socialization Act« itself.
This Friday, the Initiative Deutsche Wohnen & Co. expropriate presented a draft law to merge 220,000 apartments of large corporations in Berlin.
