The politician from Tisza wrote on his Facebook page that the police had confiscated his gun from his home.
This was first announced by Péter Magyar, and then Ruszin-Szendi confirmed the news. According to a brief statement from the police on Thursday, they have initiated a preliminary investigation into the incident.
The Prime Minister has taken a hard line against Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi. Viktor Orbán reacted on his social media page to the news that police went to the Tisza Lieutenant General's house on Thursday morning to confiscate his weapon and initiate proceedings against him.
Several complaints have been filed against Ruszin-Szendi.
The Tisza Party politician handed over the weapon because, according to him, he did not violate any law and had the necessary permit.
According to the former Chief of Staff, they are trying to threaten, blackmail and silence members of the Tisza community.
