A 65-year-old man was seriously hurt on Tuesday, after police said he was struck by an off-duty Colonie police officer’s personal vehicle. It happened at around 10:12 p.m. in the area of Old Loudon Road in the area of Purtell Avenue. Responding police and EMS provided care to the victim on scene, according to Colonie Police. He was taken to Albany Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. His name is not being released at this time.
