Never before have they been so early, the Zeeland bottom culture mussels. This week the supermarkets are starting them, the restaurants today already. “They are exceptionally good for the time of year thanks to the spring sun,” says grower Willem van de Plasse. “Don’t call me a fisherman, I’m a mussel farmer.”
