The authorities checked 28 people, administrative proceedings were initiated against one driver, misdemeanor proceedings were initiated against several participants for violating public morals and disorderly conduct, and criminal proceedings were initiated for violating the freedom of assembly.
"We will not bow to fear" - this was the slogan of this year's rural pride march. The post Pécs Pride: pictures of the pride march held despite the ban first appeared on 24.hu.
Similar to Budapest Pride, European politicians arrived in Pécs to speak about the importance of EU values. The police were able to keep the few dozen counter-protesters away from the pride marchers for most of the time, but one person still had to be led away in handcuffs.
They announced a "normality march".
