- At this year's DevDay, OpenAI announced a feature enabling users to interact with third-party apps directly inside ChatGPT, transforming it into a multitasking hub for productivity and creativity.
- To reduce app switching, OpenAI designed integrations so users can complete tasks without leaving ChatGPT and set developer rules prioritising usefulness, trustworthiness and consistency.
- Among the first partners, Spotify, Canva, Zillow, Figma and Coursera let users pull live listings or access playlists, including Zillow’s homes under $800K in Tampa with photos and maps.
- Available on Monday in English-speaking markets outside the European Union, the feature lets developers start building immediately but requires app submission for review later this year, while the Apps SDK reaches over 800 million ChatGPT users.
