SPD warns against normalization of the AfD in the Bundestag

Jens Spahn is right: one should treat the AfD like any other opposition. And yet: An opposition "like any other" the AfD will not become so fast.

Recently, Jens Spahn caused a stir with the remark that the AfD should be treated in parliament like any other opposition party. He is not aware of any guilt – and looks at it as a guest at Markus Lanz.

CDU politician Spahn rejected representations that he wanted to normalize the AfD. "No one really has to tell me what kind of guys are in their ranks," he said.

With the AfD as with any other opposition party - for this statement CDU politician Spahn is criticized by the future coalition partner SPD. Secretary General Miersch warns against a normalization of the part right-wing extremist party.

Jens Spahn demands that the AfD be treated as a normal opposition party, but the AfD is not an ordinary party.
