- The state administration increased border security, warned police stations along the North Bengal border, and West Bengal Police set up a helpline listing Mobile/WhatsApp: 9147889078 and Landline: 0354 for stranded tourists.
- Officials warned of hotel-charge concerns and cited the state's migrant support record, with West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose reporting peaceful border areas at Panitanki and Phansidewa.
