- Local vigilante Suleiman Dahiru tried to assist Buba and was stabbed in the hand, while nearby people subdued and lynched the assailant at the scene.
- The injured officer was taken to Manaal Hospital but was declared dead upon arrival, and his body was subsequently transported to the mortuary at the 44 Nigerian Army medical facility for further procedures.
- Police confirmed the incident as unfortunate and mobilized troops and civil agencies for covert operations to clear miscreants around Kaduna's black spots, pledging full efforts to secure the state.
