Mozambican man sentenced for brutal Owl attack in Sea Point

Gustigu Mthini was convicted on four charges including animal cruelty and illegal killing, receiving a one-month prison sentence before deportation, authorities said.

The Cape of Good Hope SPCA has welcomed the conviction and sentencing of Gustigu Mthini, a 38-year-old Mozambican national, who was found guilty of animal cruelty and wildlife law violations following a brutal attack on a protected Spotted Eagle Owl on the Sea Point Promenade earlier this year.
