A young man was arrested for high speed during the night of Tuesday to Wednesday on Highway 15 in Montreal, but he was shot with a relatively mild penalty: his licence was suspended for a total of seven days.

The vehicle was stopped by Sûreté du Québec’s highway patrol unit shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday on Highway 15 North near Édouard-Montpetit Boulevard.

Two motorists from the Montérégie were given two findings of an offence of nearly $2,000 for high speed.
