Migrant sex offender arrested after being released from prison in error
Hadush Kebatu was mistakenly released after a 12-month sentence for sexual offences and caught after a three-day police search in north London, police said.
- 1- Hadush Kebatu, a migrant mistakenly released from HMP Chelmsford, was located in the Finsbury Park area of north London on Sunday morning after a major police manhunt. 2- Kebatu had been sentenced last month for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl and a woman in Epping while residing in an asylum hotel. 3- The Metropolitan Police confirmed that Kebatu was taken back into custody and will be returned to the Prison Service for deportation processing.
