A medieval charity has planted a new five-acre woodland close to land it sold for housing at Farnley Tyas. The Rochester Bridge Trust has planted almost 4,800 trees – a mix of oak, beech, sweet chestnut, silver birch, holly and hazel – in two blocks called Wardens’ Wood adjoining existing woodland.
