- On Monday, Oct. 5, Premier David Eby announced the NDP will resume seven other long-term care projects, though the Care Providers Association argues the government lacks a coherent seniors care plan.
- Mary Polak, CEO of the Care Providers Association, warns that nearly 600 operators face significant uncertainty and there is currently no plan to build the 20,000 new long-term care beds needed by 2035.
