On Thursday 22 May, the animal defence association announced a complaint against the establishment for "serious abuse, cruelty and ill-treatment" and demanded its immediate closure.
After the publication by the association L214 of a video denouncing animal abuse in a slaughterhouse in Seine-et-Marne, the halal certification body AVS announced Friday 23 May "suspension" its activities in this establishment.
The animal defence association is calling for the closure of the establishment specializing in the production of halal meat, whose practices had already been pointed out in 2016.
