Following the Satya Niketan incident, the Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD) has intensified its campaign against illegal and dilapidated buildings. On Thursday, demolitions were carried out at 41 locations and 61 properties were sealed. Meanwhile, a survey was conducted of 1,355 buildings where PGs were operating.
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi reiterated that strict and sustained enforcement action will continue across Delhi against unauthorised construction, misuse of premises, dangerous structures and other violations.

The MCD intensified its crackdown on unauthorised construction and unsafe buildings across Delhi, demolishing 41 properties and sealing 61 in a day. It also issued 32 show-cause notices and ordered three demolitions. Separately, 1,355 PG buildings housing around 27,000 people were surveyed, while 54 illegal basement shops in Chandni Chowk were sealed.
