NASA will be launching a high-altitude balloon this summer. When it does, a team of eighth-graders from the Warren Consolidated Schools Middle School Mathematics Science Technology Center (MS) 2TC will be cheering as they created one of the experiments on board. The dream of flying into space is now more present in Hollywood than ever. However, while millions of dollars flow into spectacular film productions there, the Max Born Academy (MBA), the gifted support program of the Max Born Gymnasium, and the student space association WARR managed to raise a stratosphere balloon to more than 36 kilometres in height, thanks solely to the financial support of DLR Oberpfaffenhofen.
