Given the critical and commercial success of the Guardians of the Galaxy MCU trilogy that James Gunn directed, I'm seriously hoping the DC Studios co-CEO repeats one great villain trick when it comes to the DC Universe. Gunn recently revealed that DC and Marvel had discussed making a joint film, but only the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) was in urgent need of such a work. Although Gunn is still open to cooperation, he also mentioned that the cooperation plan must be based on a "real starting point."
