The police searched the headquarters of the Conseil départemental des Bouches-du-Rhône and the metropolis of Marseille, led by Martine Vassal, as part of two preliminary investigations.
In a press release, the two communities confirmed that searches were carried out in the context of two investigations conducted by the Marseille Public Prosecutor's Office.
Searches took place on Monday, September 22, in the morning at the headquarters of the Bouches-du-Rhône department and the metropolis Aix-Marseille-Provence, two institutions chaired by Martine Vassal. The residence of its former director of international affairs was also visited by the investigators.
