Major League Soccer's NYCFC Says It Wants to Sign Christian Pulisic but AC Milan Not Interested
Brad Sims said NYCFC would offer Christian Pulisic a major role in MLS, but AC Milan is unwilling to sell the 27-year-old forward.
On Thursday, NYCFC CEO Brad Sims confirmed the club's interest in signing American forward Christian Pulisic, but acknowledged that AC Milan refuses to sell the player.
Reports suggest NYCFC mounted a bid of up to $10 million per season for the Hershey, Pennsylvania native, who is entering the fourth season of a five-year contract with Milan.
Pulisic recorded 31 goals in 100 appearances for Milan following stints at Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea, where he won a Champions League title in 2021.
Sims stated, "Would MLS from a league standpoint love to have Christian Pulisic here? I think the answer to that would be yes," emphasizing broad league support.
Currently recovering from a fractured right leg sustained during the recent World Cup loss to Belgium, Pulisic remains under contract with Milan through June 2027.
