MARSHALL — Luverne’s high school baseball team is headed to state after a section-clinching win over Montevideo Thursday in Marshall. MARSHALL — When the chance to pounce on Luverne came up in Game 1 of the Section 3AA championship, the Montevideo baseball team took advantage for a 6-1 victory to force a Game 2. When those opportunities arose in the winner-take-all finale, the runs just weren’t there for the Thunder Hawks.
