Lithuania opposes EU proposal for annual inspections of older cars
Lithuania has voiced opposition to a European Commission proposal that would require annual technical inspections for cars older than 10 years, citing the country’s ageing vehicle fleet and calling for more flexibility for member states with older cars.
Lithuania, which has one of the oldest car fleets in Europe, does not support the European Commission's (EC) proposal to conduct annual technical inspections of cars older than 10 years and is asking for more flexible requirements for member states where their average age is higher.
