Recalculating Route – The Iran and Hezbollah Corridor to Lebanon

In order to continue supporting Hezbollah, with an emphasis on financial and military support, the Iranians had to recalculate their route (literally and figuratively). They evidently began devising alternative routes for a new corridor to facilitate the transfer of money and weapons.

The Israeli Alma Institute for Security and Strategic Studies published a new report discussing the route used by the Iranians to smuggle weapons to Hezbollah in Lebanon, after the route through Syria was closed following the collapse of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime on December 8, 2024.
