Kingston fire damages church’s parish house

KINGSTON, N.Y. — The Redeemer Lutheran Church parish house on Roger Street was damaged by a fire in the building’s eaves, fire Chief Chris Rea said Friday. At about 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, a fire was reported the house at 28 Roger St. Firefighters cleared the scene by 3:15 p.m., Rea said. The residence sustained smoke and water damage, but the building remained habitable, Rea said. No injuries were reported.
