Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell reunite to star and produce a horror-comedy inspired by Abbott and Costello, with production starting this summer, announced on Prime Video.
- On Jan. 20, Kenan Thompson announced on Prime Video's Good Sports that he and Kel Mitchell will star in and produce Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein, a horror-comedy reunion.
- Their reunion builds on decades of collaboration as Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell first met on Nickelodeon's All That, and their film pays homage to Abbott and Costello monster-team-up comedies.
- Production duties are split between Artists for Artists and Range Media Partners, with John Ryan Jr., Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Carter Swan producing, and Will Hariton, Azim Spicer, Monica Weber executive producing.
- Thompson opened the episode by noting, `Unfortunately, Mr. Kevin Hart is under the weather,` and said he was very excited Mitchell was stepping in, who called the reunion natural and energizing.
- Production is set to begin this summer, marking Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell's first feature since 2023's Good Burger 2 and highlighting Artists for Artists' expanding creator-driven slate.
