More than ten years after his last Formula 1 race, former Japanese driver Kamui Kobayashi is back behind the wheel thanks to a technical partnership between Toyota and Haas.
Kamui Kobayashi found the wheel of a Formula 1 for the first time in more than ten years yesterday, during private tests for Haas F1 in France. The team manager and driver of the World Endurance Championship for Toyota took part in 75 Grand Prix between 2009 and 2014. Japanese racing driver Kamui Kobayashi has tested a Formula 1 car again for the first time since his Formula 1 exit in the 2014 season. He recently drove a Haas VF-23 from 2023 in private test drives of the US team in Le Castellet in France.
