KAMIAH — A chimney fire that caused extensive damage to a large converted residence in Kamiah on Saturday morning, April 19, was traced to a creosote-clogged spark arrestor, according to the Idaho State Fire Marshal’s Office.

KAMIAH, ID – Fire crews responded to a structure fire on front street on Saturday. According to Kamiah Fire and EMS, at about 7:43 a.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to a two story home that reportedly had an active chimney fire.
