Inflation is measured at 3.8%, down from 4.2% last month, according to new figures from Statistics Iceland. The consumer price index rose by 0.20% from April, but by 0.02% if housing is not included. Inflation has generally been on the decline for the past two years, but it did rise last month. It is now the same as in March. Food and beverage prices rose by 0.69% and housing costs by 0.73%. International airfares, however, fell by 7.3%.
