After a joke about a local leader, comedian Kunal Kamra was reported and the club where he performed vandalized and partly demolished. His case is part of a growing climate of repression against comedy that mocks politicians. A trend that began with the coming to power of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and that today continues with complaints, threats and even arrests of some artists.
